What Is Not Accepted
We understand a desire to publish someone's photo on the site, especially when it looks beautiful. However, this site is about cities and not people. Below is a list of not accepted items.- Portraits.
- Thumbnail images (photos of low dimensions that cannot scale reasonably well to full screen).
- Photos of you, your friends, family members, and pets unless the photo represents a natural city scene, e.g. a tourist buying goods on city market while not posing for your camera.
- Photos with anyone posing for your camera unless the scene is natural such as a photo of a merchant selling goods, etc.
- Photos, which are not relevant to a city at all, such as images of Earth from great distance, images of animals, birds, insects, or plants without proper comments why they are relevant. The goal of the site is to provide CITY PHOTOS. Please look at your submissions from the point of view of a tourist who is considering visiting your city.
- Any kind of copyrighted material. Do not scan and post somebody else's work such as magazine or book illustrations or postcards. Do not borrow copyrighted content from other sites. Instead, grab your camera and make your own shots!
- Photos with overlaid slogans, logos, urls and similar markings. Labels of camera shooting time are okay.
- Any kind of adult material.
Moderators can remove any material from the site at their own discretion without providing any explanations. Moderators can cut off portions of submitted photos to keep content in line with the site posting policy.
