This place is good for snorkeling. You can see lots of fish and sea urchins around here. There is not a lot of sea grass. May be one or two sea cucumbers. And if you know where to look you may find an octopus..

Just off the top of Halidon street Skridlof streetis popular with the visitor for its huge array of leather goods and articles of Cretan folk art. You may find some of the craftsmen at work fashioning items such as leather sandals or the traditional Cretan boots. This area also called "Stivanadika"..

At Theotokopoulou Street start your tour of the Old Town and penetrate the picturesque quarters of Topana which got its name from a gun depository (top hane in Turkish). To the right of here is a an old, long, high Old City wall (needs repairs), to the left is the Venetian Harbour..

The Chania (Khania, or even Hania) Old Town is regarded as one of the nicest old towns of Greece. The "Old Town" consists of the old Venetian harbour and the small Venetian blocks located behind the harbour; it is characterized by narrow and picturesque alleys – similar to an enchanting labyrinth – full of life, and the plentiful remaining Venetian and Turkish buildings.
