If you ever get here don't return at the top viewpoint where the information sign and the restaurant are located. Look over the edge, as the view is magnificent. Make sure to drive the narrow road down the canyon. Use your engine breaks and please yield to upcoming cars. This place is hard to reach but yet is magnificent, as it is located in something that looks like a crater of a big volcano. The Cirque de Navacelles is one of the "7 wonders of Languedoc region". It's large cirque landform, located towards the southern edge of the Massif Central mountain range in France. The cirque is very isolated, with only a few small village communities living in the surrounding area..

Water is available (plenty of it!) in the bottom of Cirque de Navacelles. A lovely beautiful stream of clean water (Vis river) with its own waterfall runs through this village in the very bottom.
